If there is one thing that I took away from the breathtaking wedding of Dominique and Bryan it is that they are both madly in love with each other. Their chemistry with one another was intoxicating, as a wedding photograper I revel in amazing chemistry to create equally as amazing photographs. The perfect wedding day took place at the always elegant, Penisula Club on Lake Norman near Charlotte, North Carolina. Such a breathtaking location over looking Charlotte’s own Lake Normans shoreline.

The wedding was themed in Great Gatsby, and the decor was elegant in shades of gold and black, much like one would imagine a Gatsby themed occasion to be. Simple, tasteful and elegant. A perfect backdrop for any creative wedding photographer.

The wedding day began at the brides grandmothers house over looking Lake Norman. The location allowed for a relaxing beginning to Dominique’s wedding day. While the wedding party was getting ready, laughing, and relaxing I was able to create some amazing wedding photos using her wedding details and candid moments with her bridesmaids.

Dominique and Bryan had asked us to photograph their engagement session after locating us online as one of the top wedding photographers in the area. Their engagement session was a peak into their love for each other and their beauty, taking the photos of just the two of them folloing the ceremony really reminded me of them the day we shot the engagment session.

The wedding ceremony itself was gorgous, two beautiful people becoming one is always a sight to see. I also just loved the creative photos that came out of this wedding. A few of the photos were so candid, yet so creative as Dominique and Bryan we dancing to a song together as I used both lighting and their centerpieces to create amazing and dramatic photos. The dancing, the toasts, the atmosphere was perfect for this amazing wedding night. I am so thankful for beautiful and loving couples such as Dominique and Bryan. They make my job as a wedding photographer perfect. Thank you so much again for choosing Miranda Lawson Photography.

This South Seas wedding of the head-over-heels in love couple, Lindsey and Matt, was absolutely perfect. Everything seemed so effortless the day of their wedding. So much thought, time, and details were considered in order to create this memorable Captiva FL wedding. Their venue choice was perfect for both their personalities and wedding style. The reception was held at South Seas, a spectacular refuge on the gulf coast side of Florida. The style of this stunning venue is both simplistic and elegant, with a vintage flare. I absolutely adored one very specific and thoughtful detail that was woven throughout both the ceremony as well as the reception decorations. Lindsey and Matt had met at a blueberry pancake breakfast, therefore the use of fresh blueberries throughout the wedding decorations, wedding cake, and even the mother of the brides up-do brought such a personalized touch to the entire wedding. Hollie Raulerson of Elleson Events went above and beyond to design and plan everything with little touches of blueberries throughout the reception spot. Not to mention that even the amazing invitations that were created by DM Paper Designs also incorporated the same blueberry foliage feel as the reception design.

The wedding day brought so many precious photo opportunities. I couldn’t write this blog without mentioning how effortless it was to create chemistry, love and romance throughout the photos I took of this beautiful couple. Everything from the happiness and love between Lindsey with both her parents before the ceremony, the goofiness between all of the bridesmaid with Lindsey, the humor between Matt and his groomsman, the look on Matt’s face as Lindsey emerged down the aisle, the first dance filled with laughter and romance, the heartfelt toasts, the dancing, and last and for certain not least the love and chemistry that I was able I was able to capture during their photos together on the rocks overlooking the amazing gulf coast.

I just have to mention that one of my most memorable photo opportunities was created during the first dance between Lindsey and her dad, such a fun and outgoing family.  DJ Dan Confrey of Thank You for the Dance Entertainment did such a great job creating a pleasant atmosphere for everyone enjoying their time on the dance floor. It is so difficult to not go on and on describing how blessed this couple is to have found one another, and how blessed I was to be able to photograph and create beautiful heartfelt memories for a gorgeous couple. Thank you so much again for making Miranda Lawson Photography part of your day!

I had such a wonderful time photographing the beautiful wedding of Lindsay and Ricky. Some of my most memorable moments came out of photographing this happy couples wedding day. The gorgeous couple chose The Club at the Strand in Naples, Florida. Spring time in Florida is in itself perfect, combine the warm temperatures and sunshine with a amazing Naples venue and the wedding day became a destination wedding to remember. naples-4915naples-4747naples-4953naples-5044naples-5049naples-5082naples-5083naples-5167naples-5196naples-5202naples6

I think that one of my most favorite time during all wedding days, is the time I am able to capture the bride and groom getting prepared with their closest family and friends. I love being a wedding photographer and being able to not only capture emotions and timeless moments, but also to take these moments and turn them into true fine art photography at the Club at the Strand. I was able to capture this perfect image of Jamie Lyn Cintron for Naples Makeup, backlit with colors surrounding, applying Lindsay’s makeup. The images that resulted from that moment were totally different than I have attempted in past weddings, especially for a shot that was taken before the wedding. I love the vibrant bright colors that surrounded both Lindsay and Jamie in these images, perfect, creative photography.

naples-5410naples-5520naples-5683naples-5739naples2                Being chosen as one of the top wedding photographers in the Naples area has given me the opportunity to work with such amazing couples as Lindsay and Ricky. Everything about their wedding day was perfect, which in turn means that their wedding photos were also perfect! As usual, I always looks for the most unique opportunities at the venue to create some different wedding images. I placed Lindsey and Rick on some larger rocks, and I thought that these images were amazing because the rocks brought in another element than I have never used in traditional wedding photography. I also loved the pop of bright colors that were growing around the venue, so I shot some of the more creative photos from within these flowers, giving Lindsey and Rick a great and unique wedding photo.

The scenery at the Sanibel Harbour Resort is gorgeous. There are so many spots throughout the entire resort that are perfect for remarkable wedding photos. I love that I am a local. Because I am a Fort Myers and Sanibel Island area photographer, I frequent some of the most amazing resorts and wedding destinations in the area. I know the best features of many resorts, and how to use them to make breathtaking photos. The Sanibel Island Resort in particular boasts some great little details that I always remember to utilize to the fullest. The resort has a rustic dock, and huge windows that overlook the water. Not to mention the angle at which the sun always sets at the resort, and how there are about a million different opportunities to incorporate that perfect warm sunset.fortmyers12

Ashley and Bryan were a very fun and vibrant couple. I actually thought that the floral arrangements from Floral Artisty of Sanibel exemplified their fun, outgoing personalities! It was refreshing to see those bright hues, reminds me that spring and summer are right around the corner! Every moment I spent with this couple was fun. They have been truly blessed to find each other. Their wedding was relaxing and we worked with one another to make the most out of every photo opportunity.

I loved the beach photos when I played up the sky. The clouds are something that many couples fear for their destination weddings, but the clouds spoke to me that day. Incorporating them into the wedding day photography made a very dramatic wedding picture for this special couple. I also loved using angled flashes after sunset to create equally dramatic creative art photos. I was able to angle Ashley and Bryan just so that their reflection would be seen in the very large windows at the resort. Such an amazing experience creating fine art wedding photography. I love being a professional photographer especially with such an outstanding couple. Thank you Ashley and Bryan for letting Miranda Lawson Photography be a part of your day!

When I first met Nikki, I knew we had the same vision for her creative wedding photography. Artistically, it was a perfect match between the two of us. We discussed many details, I became more and more excited about what her wedding photos would produce. I was ecstatic when she also asked me to photograph their engagement photos.
The day of the engagement photography session there was a cold front which is extremely rare for Florida!  Because it was a little chilly, I really wanted to play up the love that these two had for each other while also giving them creative engagement photography. We began the engagement photography session  in beautiful Garden of Hope and Courage in Naples. We played up the amazing foliage, flowers and trees. The sun, the colors of the flowers, and a beautiful couple was a perfect muse for the best photographersNM-5300webNM-5384webNM-5413web

The second location we visited was downtown Naples after dark. The couple had a great time cuddling and talking while I was able to capture their love as well as create some artistic photography. My favorite image from this location is something any fine art photographer would appreciate.
Finally, we ended the engagement photography session at the top of a parking garage in Naples. The top of a parking garage doesn’t sound very appealing, but the silhouettes were amazing. The buildings are so close, the images almost look surreal. I love being able to produce true artistic photography while at the same time emphasizing the amazing city of Naples.
I cannot wait until the fall of 2015 when Nikki and Mike get married. If the engagement photography session is a precursor of their wedding day, we are in for some creative wedding day photos. Thank you for making Miranda Lawson Photography part of your day!
